In connection with the 26th Council of Europe exhibition, various historians and other researchers and institutes dealt with aspects of the Thirty Years' War and the Treaty of Westphalia. The text archive contains several of the evening lectures given during the congress of historians "350 Jahre Westfälischer Friede - Entscheidungsprozesse, Weichenstellungen und Widerhall eines europäischen Ereignisses" / "350 years Treaty of Westphalia - decision-making, setting the course and echoes of a European event (Münster, 27.10.-2.11.1996). Together with the messages of greeting, these public lectures - without the critical apparatus - were published as a preprint in 1998. A complete edition of the texts containing all of the ca. 50 talks has been published by Oldenbourg:
