Production by the European partners |
The CD-ROM "1648 - Krieg und Frieden in Europa / War and Peace in Europe" is the result of a co-production of 14 European museums, archives and university research institutes. The CD-ROM commemorates the signing of the Treaty of Westphalia in 1648 and 350th anniversary celebrations of this event in 1998, which were marked by several exhibitions in a number of European museums and archives. This CD-ROM combines the topics of these exhibitions and offers manifold insights into the causes for, the course of and the negotiations leading to the peaceful end of this first big-scale European conflict.
