Award for special quality

Von –Vincke -school assigned yesterday

Soest – In a ceremony the von-Vincke-Schule (special school for blind and visually impaired) got the eTwinning- quality-award by the ministry of school and further education yesterday.

This tribute also refers to the project leader, Michael Nacke, special school teacher at the von-Vincke-Schule, because the award shows both his achievements as a teacher, and his trendsetting engagement.

The quality-award is a decoration for schools that “accomplish brilliant work in line with their eTwinning-partnership”. This year 20 schools, among it only two schools from NRW, get the prize in Germany. One of these two schools and the only special school is the von-Vincke-Schule in Soest.

School- friendship

eTwinning supports European school-friendships, that are established via the internet. “e” stands for “electronic” and “Twinning” for “friendship”.

The von-Vincke-Schule in Soest takes part in this project, that is called “Knowledge builds bridges” and that is supported by the EU.

The school enrolled on eTwinning together with their partner schools from 5 other European countries (Finland, Poland, Bulgaria, Greece and Cyprus) and applied for the national quality-award with their project homepage “Communication and language platform for teachers, students, parents”.

The special thing about it is that you can listen to phrases as an audio file on the web side.

In addition information can be swapped between pupils, teachers and parents, who are interested in the EU-supported Comenius-project.
