Second Comenius Day

von-Vincke-Schule visited Poland – got to know people and country

Our student team for Poland

Soest - June, 19th , 4 pupils and 3 teachers of von-Vincke-Schule reported about their journey to Poland.

In May they had visited their partner-school in Swieradow Sdroj in the Polish mountain range as a part of the Comenius school-project, that is promoted by the EU. All seven schools from 6 countries that are taking part met there. Bulgaria, Finland, Greece, Cyprus, Poland and Germany were represented. Von-Vincke-Schule is the only special school in the project.

To let all the other pupils take part in this event, there was one more Comenius Day. This time, the pupils had the chance to listen to a Polish fairytale and to a poem, that was recited in Polish. In addition, they danced a Polish Polonaise, they tasted Pierogi (filled dough pocket), they got to know Polish money and they got to know many interesting facts about the country and about the town of the Polish partner school.

Steffi, Ben , Adrian and Sven enthusiastically talked about their impressions and their guest families. By now, some more pupils and a group of teacher are getting ready for the next meeting.
