Zeus kidnaps Europe

King Aginore and Tilefasa had a beautiful daughter called Europe.Zeus was known for his frailty to resist to a pretty woman. That exquisite  beauty could not pass unnoticed by the kings of gods. Well, he decided to  entice the girl, so he made a plan.

A sunny afternoon, Europe was having  her usual walk with  her girlfriends. Suddenly, they saw a magnificent animal browsing. The white bull turned his head to their side with a bellow. The girls got scared and run away.

All, except Europe. The princess stayed still staring at him .She, started slowly moving closer and closer. Then, she stretched out her arm and  fondled the gorgeous animal softly.

After a while she became bolder, grabbed his horns and got on his back. Suddenly, the bull started running really fast. The girl was shocked and tried to guide him, but in vain. He was going straight into the sea. Europe was sure she would drown.

But no! The girl was shocked to realize the fact that this strange animal was walking on the water. This way, they reached a big island. It was Crete. The bull finally stopped under a plane-tree in Gortina. To the girl’s big surprise, the bull disappeared and his majesty, Zeus himself, was standing before her eyes.

Europe had three kids with the father of Gods, three boys, Minoas, the king of Crete, Sarpidonas and Rodamanthis. That’s why the continent Europe was named after Zeus’ beloved woman.
