International pupils-meeting
![]() Group of von-Vincke-Schule takes part in project in Poland Soest – What is it like to live in an international community for one week? In May, 4 pupils of von-Vincke-Schule, who travelled to Poland with their teachers, got to know this. There they met other pupils and teachers from Poland, Bulgaria, Finland, Greece and Cyprus as a part of the Comenius-project, that is supported by the EU.
Von-Vincke-Schule is the only special school in this project. But the fact, that Steffi and Ben are blind and their mates Adrian and Sven are visually handicapped, wasn’t a problem for the other participants. The Germans were always together with the whole group, whatever they did. They did a walking tour through the mountains, sightseeing, a day-trip to Breslau and went out in restaurants. They were welcomed by their guest-families in a very cordial way. To exchange some words with their guest-parents, the pupils had done a mini Polish-course with their teachers, in which they learned the most important phrases. The spa with the German name “Bad Flinsberg” is located about 55 km off the German border. (Westfalenpost, May 23rd) |
