Peace. From Antiquity to the Present Day

On Saturday, 28 April, the exhibition "Pathways to Peace" is open from 4.30 pm to midnight. Admission is free.

Five Exhibitions in Münster

In the exhibition “Peace. From Antiquity to the Present Day” (28 April – 2 September 2018),
the LWL-Museum für Kunst und Kultur, the Kunstmuseum Pablo Picasso Münster, the
Archäologisches Museum at Münster University, the Diocese of Münster as well as the
Stadtmuseum Münster are examining the struggle for peace in all its various manifestations.
Outstanding exhibits from international collections will be highlighting the subject from the
perspectives of art and cultural history as well as the Christian religion.
Two historic dates are the occasion for this interdisciplinary exhibition: the signing of the
Peace of Westphalia in Münster and Osnabrück 370 years ago and the end of the First World
War 100 years ago.

My Piece of Peace

Personal items and stories of Peace

Call for action: We are looking for items that are connected to a personal story about peace to you. A dictionary that has contributed to international understanding, converted combat items, a yoga mat – everything is possible. Give us your piece of peace for the exhibition "Pathways to Peace" and write us your story about it. We present both together in a showcase in the foyer.
