30 July 2011: organized by the Research Centre for the History of the Diocese of Paderborn in connection with the Historical Commission for Westphalia and the Federation of Westphalian Folk Societies a series of public lectures “New Forms of Monastic Life in Westphalia and Lippe. Change and Development in the 19th and 20th Centuries“ are to be held in Bielefeld.
6/7 May 2011: the 63rd “Day of Westphalian History“ well be held in Olpe, organized by the Society for the History and Antiquity of Westphalia in collaboration with the Historical Commission for Westphalia and the Regional Association for Westphalia-Lippe (LWL).
16/17 September 2010 a colloquium was held in Münster on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the death of Franz von Fürstenberg (1729-1810), the advocate of the Enlightenment in Münster and founder of the university there. The organizers were the Diocesan Archives in Münster, the Historical Commission for Westphalia, the Institute for the History of the Diocese of Münster and the Society for the History and Antiquity of Westphalia (Münster section).
