Compendium to the history of Jewish communities in Westphalia and Lippe
Under the protectorate of the General Council of Jews in Germany (Zentralrat der Juden in Deutschland) the Historical Commission for Westphalia (Historischen Kommission für Westfalen) and the Institute for Comparative Urban History (Institut für vergleichende Städtegeschichte) are jointly editing a "Compendium to the history of Jewish communities in Westphalia and Lippe" (Historisches Handbuch der jüdischen Gemeinschaften in Westfalen und Lippe). All project leaders and editors are members of the Commission. Managing editors are Prof. Dr. Frank Göttmann, Prof. Dr. Karl Hengst, Prof. Dr. Franz-Josef Jakobi, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Peter Johanek und Prof. Dr. Wilfried Reininghaus. The coordination is being carried out by Rita Schlautmann-Overmeyer M. A..
The compendium is made up of four volumes, arranged as a lexicon. All volumes are published by the Ardey Verlag in Münster, Germany, as part of the Commission’s "Veröffentlichungen der Historischen Kommission für Westfalen XLV: Quellen und Forschungen zur jüdischen Geschichte in Westfalen, Band 2."
